Today would have been my grandparent’s 77th anniversary. I think of them often and wonder why I never asked them why they chose the day after Valentine’s Day to get married.
I know my grandfather would be heartbroken that his camera original film of the JFK Assassination is still missing. I thought writing the book would help enlighten people and maybe give me some leads as to where it is. Thanks to my friend Chris Scally, I will soon have a comprehensive Chronology of the Nix film. As a matter of fact, he’s going to present his detailed and generous study at the Dealey Plaza UK Seminar in Canterbury in April of this year.
But I need more.
I have spent the last few weeks talking to Congress people, investigative reporters, lawyers and former CIA/FBI agents as to how to get to the information I need. It seems that there’s a possibility the Nix film could still exist. It also seems that the “original” that we (my family) always thought existed was not the one sold to UPI. I cannot verify this without some strong contacts or subpoenas.
So, without further ado, here’s the help I need. I know it’s not Christmas, but all of these would be on the top of my wish list for finding the Nix film and finding the truth:
- An attorney who would work on a contingency or just out of outrage that this important piece of evidence, the Nix film, is missing and has been since the mid-70s.
- An investigative reporter to rattle the cages of former UPI employees.
- A documentary film maker to rattle even more the cages of UPI witnesses, the government and the House Select Committee among others.
- A Congress person in Texas to reopen the JFK Assassination case and try it in Texas as it is still considered an open murder case in our state.
- Whistle-blowers who had any contact with the Nix film during congressional committees, UPI, AP, JFK researchers with access to films to come clean as to what they know about the Nix film
- Photographic experts with no political, mercenary or fame agenda to study the first generation film.
- The world to back me on finding this film. Help me spread the word. I will make T-shirts. I’m speaking to high school history classes. I’m available. I don’t charge speaking fees. I don’t ask for donations. I just want to find my grandfather’s film No matter where you stand on the argument about the JFK Assassination, you must know how important finding the Nix film would be to at least answer one of the many questions the world has in regards to the JFK Assassination: Were there shooters on the knoll?

Hi Gayle, how proud your grandfather would be to know you are doing this. I wish you the very best with it. I wish I could help more, but I live in Australia which makes it a little hard, however, if you find there is something, please contact me. Meanwhile, good luck.
