What do some Conspiracy Theorists have in common with the British and Roman empires?
A divide and conquer mentality.
Every few years, a new theory/idea comes up and people interested in the JFK Assassination begin taking sides. Some are more flamboyant than others. There are a host of intelligent people who believe these theories as is evidenced by many websites and their comments as well as their pasting of the same old pictures and statements as “proof” on facebook pages and groups and Forums. One of the past theories that was popular in recent years was that a Secret Service Agent killed JFK.
But before that, there were these:
- Navy Seals hid in the trees of Dealey Plaza and shot the president.
- The Umbrella Man’s umbrella was really a weapon.
- Jackie Kennedy shot her husband and then replaced him with a fake body in a secret space in the limo.
Now, there’s the Lovelady was not in the doorway argument, an argument that even Billy Lovelady denied as did Buell Frazier and several others. In fact, Frazier said he saw Oswald walking down the street after the assassination. Billy Lovelady is not Lee Harvey Oswald. Mary Ferrell knew it. The Altgens picture DOES NOT prove it. Even the Warren Commission got this one right. So why are we arguing amongst ourselves? Are the proponents of the “that’s not Lovelady in the TSBD doorway” working with us or against us? Leaders who use a divide and conquer strategy may encourage or foster feuds between smaller powers. Who are the leaders of this movement? Are they using this kind of political maneuvering to manipulate or find the truth? I submit they are playing into the hands of the mass media, government and powers that be who have always known, to make a group fall apart, have them fight from within or use a DIVIDE and CONQUER strategy. Can’t we just use our common sense here and work to find the truth?
