Orville Nix: The Missing JFK Assassination Film wins ELIT Award

Oh my! You know when you’re having one of “those” days? You know the ones I mean…the kids are fighting. Your son is going through a phase you wish he’d hurry and grow out of? The dogs are like a kennel of undisciplined toddlers? There’s not enough asprin, scotch or patience to feel better? Then…..

SERENDIPITY!

I happened upon a site tonight that awarded my book the “BRONZE” award for History! (Okay, if I think about it long enough, gold or silver would’ve been better, but hey, at least I made the podium!) And you know what’s even better???? My husband entered it into the program without telling me! Here’s their blurb:

Illuminating Digital Publishing Excellence

The sixth annual eLit Awards are a global awards program committed to illuminating and honoring the very best of English language digital publishing entertainment.

The eLit Awards are an industry-wide, unaffiliated awards program open to all members of the electronic publishing industry.

The contest is presented by Jenkins Group Inc., a Michigan-based book publishing and marketing services company that has operated the popular Independent Publisher Book Awards contest since 1996.

The eLit Awards celebrate the ever growing market of electronic publishing in the wide variety of reader formats. Hail the revolutionary world of e-books and join the awards program that’s highlighting the best in electronic reading entertainment!

So I didn’t get cash, flowers, a medal or adoration…what I DID get is one more glowing happy wonderful accolade that could urge just the right person to read the book and say “Hey, I know where that film could be”. Right? (and of course the knowledge that my husband is proud of me!)

Check it out here.
