I’ve noticed on Twitter and other social media that oftentimes someone will pose the question to a presidential candidate as to “Will you Reopen the JFK Assassination Case?”
The media would have you believe the only people truly interested in the answer to this question are extremists wearing tin-foil hats who find a conspiracy in every major event.
I’m allergic to tin foil. Do you think most presidential candidates are?
Though I have seen no answer from a candidate from any party, I found this quote from Webb Hubbell’s book, Friends in High Places: Our Journey from Little Rock to Washington, D.C., enlightening:
Soon after his election in 1992, President-elect Bill Clinton met with an old friend, Webster Hubbell whom he planned to appoint to a high post in the Justice Department. As they talked privately, Clinton gave him some secret orders. “Webb,” Clinton said to his golfing buddy, “if I put you over at Justice, I want you to find the answers to two questions for me. One, Who killed JFK? And two, Are there UFOs?” The president, Hubbell said, was “dead serious.”
Obviously former president Clinton wanted to know and felt the Department of Justice had the answers he sought. Do you think he found those answers? Do you think he told Hillary Clinton?
